About the job
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment : Coordinate and facilitate the recruitment and selection process on site, This assisting with the selection and onboarding of new hires.
Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees at the construction site, addressing their questions, concerns, and grievances. Foster positive employee relations by promoting effective communication and resolving conflicts in a timely and fair manner.
HR Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures as well as relevant labor laws and regulations. Communicate and educate employees on HR policies, benefits, and other employment-related matters.
Performance Management: Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans. Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees to promote continuous performance improvement.
Health and Safety Compliance: Work closely with the Health and Safety department to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Participate in safety meetings, conduct safety orientations for new employees, and promote a safety culture throughout the construction site.
Employee Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and training records. Prepare HR-related reports as required.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies or project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3 Years experience as an HR Officer or similar role in the construction industry.
Sound knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with employees, supervisors, and site management.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Proficiency in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office applications.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry is an advantage.
Professional HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are preferable but not required.
